Seeking a Staycation? A Round-Up of Hotels with Indoor Pools in Dallas-Fort Worth

An indoor pool.

Our family is a huge fan of  staycations. They are less stressful, less expensive, and you don’t have to spend a lot of time traveling. When it comes to hotels, our kids have one requirement — a pool! In the colder months, we specifically search out hotels with indoor pools. Even if it’s just your basic swimming pool, we have the best time and take a dip multiple times during our stay.

From resort-style hotels to budget-friendly options, this list features hotels with indoor pools you will want to visit on your next staycation in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.

Comfort Suites

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly getaway, Comfort Suites Plano – Dallas North is worth checking out! Located near the George Bush Tollway, this hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub.

Crowne Plaza

Growing up, my family used to staycation at the Crowne Plaza Dallas Love Field – Med Area and always had a blast. The whole hotel has recently been updated, including the huge indoor pool. It’s conveniently located near downtown Dallas, close to the Dallas Aquarium and the Dallas Arboretum

Embassy Suites

Located near the Dallas Galleria, Embassy Suites by Hilton is a longtime family favorite. I even had one of my birthday parties here as a child. Stays include free breakfast and a reception with light snacks and drinks in the evening. The indoor pool is fairly large and has a serene vibe.

Fairfield Inn & Suites

Another Collin County favorite with a family-friendly price, the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Plano provides towels at its indoor pool. Free breakfast is included, too. Who can say no to Texas-shaped waffles?

Great Wolf Lodge

I’m stating the obvious here — there’s no indoor pool like the one at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. We gifted our kids a stay here for Christmas, and they haven’t stopped talking about it since. If you go during the week, it is less expensive. Check Groupon for great deals, or call the hotel for its latest promotion. Six waterpark tickets are included with each room, and you can use the water park from 1:00 p.m. the day you check in.

Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Fort Worth

Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown Fort Worth is within walking distance to the Water Gardens and many restaurants. We’ve stayed here before and really enjoyed the kids’ splash pad area with purple walls. Don’t forget to check out the Stockyards while you’re there!

Hilton Anatole

I’ll admit, I prefer to stay at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas during the summer to enjoy the outdoor lazy river, but it does have an indoor pool for the colder months. There are also plenty of options to grab a bite to eat and an outdoor park. It’s right down the road from the Dallas Zoo, downtown Dallas, and the Arts District

Homewood Suites

Another hotel near downtown Dallas is Homewood Suites by Hilton. This indoor pool is a favorite for kids because the walls are painted with brightly colored murals and it has a waterfall. It’s also conveniently located on Elm Street, near the Perot Museum

Sandman Signature Hotel

Sandman Signature Hotel Plano-Frisco is reasonably priced and within walking distance of several restaurants and the Kathy Seei Park (formerly Frisco Central Park).

Springhill Suites

The indoor pool at Springhill Suites by Marriott in North Dallas near Children’s Medical Center in Plano has large windows with a great view of the outdoors.

Staybridge Suites

If you’ve never stayed at Staybridge Suites Plano-Richardson area, you’re missing out! I don’t think there is better bang for your buck, especially, if you are planning to stay more than a few days. Each room has a refrigerator and microwave, so you can reheat food or bring food from home. In addition to a large indoor pool and jacuzzi, this hotel also offers an outdoor basketball court and picnic tables. Enjoy happy hour Monday – Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for free appetizers and drinks.
