Psychedelic Robot is a new 360° immersive experience at Willow Bend Mall. See an exciting tale of kindness, love, and humanity unfold in an explosion of color featuring world-class art & design, interactive exhibits, augmented reality, and high-quality production. Tickets from $22.60.

Fun on the Farm is over for the season, but you can still visit Heritage Farmstead Museum to tour the grounds, take a wagon ride ($2), and feed the chickens ($1). Open Thursday–Saturday, 10am–2pm. $5 per person, ages 2 and under free. One of our writers JUST wrote about how much she loves this farm!


ALL MONTH, TUESDAY

Plano Parks & Rec is making it easy to meet up this summer. Play in the Park at Shawnee Park is for kids of all ages to meet in the park for fun, heart-pumping games like limbo, tag, relay races, and much more (like free popsicles!). 9–10am. Free!


ALL MONTH, TUESDAY

Fun in the Sun is a weekly kids’ program on The Lawn at Grandscape. There’s a different theme every time, but all feature interactive activities for the kiddos. See link for schedule. 10am–12pm. Free!


ALL MONTH, WEDNESDAY

Frisco Public Library will do WOW! Wednesdays in the City Hall Council Chambers. Lots of cool stuff on the schedule from magic shows to the Dallas Zoo. Space is limited. Tickets will be available at the door 30 minutes before showtime. For ages K–5. Showtimes vary by week, so be sure to check the link for exact details. Free!


ALL MONTH, FRIDAY

‘Tis the season for free outdoor concerts. Music in the Square is back every Friday evening in June. This year, they’re elevating things with professional staging, sound, and lights. See link for lineup and info about the artists. 7–9pm. Free!


ALL MONTH, FRIDAY & SATURDAY

Music at FTC is a seasonal concert series in The Park at Fairview Town Center. Friday nights are for local singer/songwriters and Saturday nights are for bands. See link for a complete schedule of performers. Bring lawn chairs and blankets and grab carryout from one of the FTC restaurants to eat while you listen. 7:30pm. Free!

Note: They posted some new rules about The Fountain (sounds like people have been acting up!). Might want to review them before heading over to splash.

Grandscape ALSO has weekend concerts. Sounds of Summer is a family-friendly concert series featuring tribute bands and more. 7:30–9:30pm. Free!


ALL MONTH, SELECT DATES

B&B Theater in Wylie has a Summer Kids Series with family-friendly G- and PG-rated films. Shows at 10am and 12pm. Tickets are $5 OR $3 for Backstage Pass Members (which is free to join at the link).


JUNE 2

Family Science Night in Simpson Plaza means experiments and activities from Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, City of Frisco, Dallas Paleontological Society, Growing IQ, a NASA Solar System Ambassador, SciStarter, and more. 6–8pm. Free!


JUNE 4

Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to spend the day turning Heritage Park of Flower Mound into a canvas of color for Chalk the Walk. Participants will be assigned a concrete square to create their masterpiece. A set of chalk will be provided for the first 75 participants to register, or you can bring your own. 9am–12pm. Free!


JUNE 4

Paws on the Square in Downtown Carrollton brings people, pets, animal welfare organizations, and pet-friendly companies together for an afternoon of fun. They’ll have vaccinations, registrations, and adoption opportunities plus all kinds of activities: dog photo booth, grooming touch ups, pet keepsake crafts, vendors, and more! See link for additional details. 11am–2pm. Free!


JUNE 4

There’s a free magic show at Stonebriar Centre today. See Gregg KaZam perform on the 1st floor in front of Nordstrom. If you have a Frisco library card, be sure to visit the micro-library, CONNECTION, on the 2nd floor behind the food court carousel before or after! 2–2:45pm. Free!


JUNE 4 & 5

You can find smaller Pride celebrations throughout Collin County, but the biggest event by far is Dallas Pride at Fair Park. The festival is a family-friendly event featuring a variety of musical and dance performances and 200+ vendors. The Family Pride Zone features bounce houses, face painting, and entertainment for the kids. There’s also Teen Pride, which fosters a safe environment for LGBTQ+ youth ages 13 to 19 and their friends to enjoy live entertainment from artists and DJs, and other age-appropriate activities. 11am–7pm. Tickets $10 for adults, $5 for teens, 12 and under free.


JUNE 11

If you’re looking for an easy road trip to kick off summer break, the 32nd Texas Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches (~3 hour drive) will have live music, blueberry picking, auto exhibits, shopping and restaurant specials, friendly competitions for all ages, demos, workshops, and lots more. See link for more details, including hotel specials. 8am–4pm. Free!


JUNE 11

Kids’ Movies and Concerts at the Lakefront is a monthly get together in Little Elm. This month is Frozen. Grab some food from the food trucks to eat while you watch. Character meet and greets will begin at 5pm and the movie will start at 6pm. Free!


JUNE 16 & 17

Lucky Duck Kids Club To-Go is the third week of the month, on Thursdays and Fridays. Pick up your Kid’s Club Activity Box from the Management Office located off Village Green Drive in the walkway between Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen and Pure Barre. Activities are geared to children ages two to six years old. 12–5pm. Free!
Also note: Concerts on the Creek are back, every Saturday evening @ 7pm.


JUNE 18

Haggard Park in Plano hosts 2022 Collin County Juneteenth, with a 10am program, followed by a celebration with vendors, mask give-away, kids activities, and food and drinks. 10am–3pm. Free!

Downtown McKinney’s Junteenth Celebration features morning fitness, live entertainment, kids zone, food, and more. 10am–9pm. Free!

Little Elm Juneteenth at Little Elm Park will have music, art, speakers, food, Kid Zone, and more! This event is open to everyone. There’s also a 5k you can sign up for at the link. 5–8pm. Free!


JUNE 18

Frisco Summer Jam is a BMX competition at Frisco Skate Park with beginner and amateur contests and an open class jam. See link for all the different contests and to register if your child wants to participate. 5pm. Free!


JUNE 19

Father’s Day! Looking for something to do? Enjoy live music by Bobby Falk inside the hall with complimentary liquor tastings for the dads at the Father’s Day Blues Brunch. See link for all the details on the special menu items.
