Let the Plano Symphony Orchestra, marionettes, and dancers whisk you away at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. Pre-show instrument petting zoo in the lobby. 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tickets from $12.

Underground Movement Festival Vol. 8
This annual festival brings the culture of underground hip-hop movement outside to Downtown Plano’s McCall Plaza. This is an all-ages, family-friendly event celebrating more than 40 years of hip hop. 5:00 p.m. Spectators are free! Competitors can register through the link.

Witty Kids Discovery Walks
Come explore the outdoors of Legacy West with children’s author, Rebecca Clark. Kids can focus on imagination, career explorations, and can use chalk to write ideas. 11:00 a.m. Free!

The Little India Fair
Here’s a brand-new event at Southfork Ranch. The Little India Fair was born from the emotions one experiences when living far from home. Find a unique selection of artists selling fashion, jewelry, handicrafts, and other interesting goods and wares. There will also be a kid’s zone, live music, and Indian delicacies. 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Admission $9.99; kids under 10 free.

The Lightning Thief
Quick plot synopsis of this Percy Jackson adaptation: When Zeus’s master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival
More than 40 miles of mapped bluebonnet trails — the biggest of its kind in the state — can be found just 35 miles south of Dallas. Here’s a new one from the Frisco Heritage Museum: Kids find stations around the museum and complete tasks, crafts, and activities in their Junior Ranger Handbook. They’ll earn a badge upon completion! Designed for ages five to 10, but all ages are welcome to participate. Preregistration required. 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. Free!

Concert for Young Audiences: Out of this World
The Allen Philharmonic presents a casual, family-friendly program of music inspired by space at the Allen Public Library. 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Free!

Little Farmers: Tractor Day
Heritage Farmstead Museum has renamed Fun on the Farm, but the description is the same: an interactive program designed for ages two to five years old, featuring story time, a craft, animal encounter, wagon ride, and fun on the farm. Bring a picnic! 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. $15 per child; $5 per adult.

Movie Night on the Square
Celina’s family series kicks off tonight with DC League of Super Pets (PG). The event includes a free kid’s zone with rotating activities like costumed characters, bounce houses, games, and crafts.
