Farmers markets are a hidden treasure for families. Besides providing an easy weekend activity for you and the family (outside!), it’s an avenue for clean eating, supporting local growers and makers, cultivating a love for community, and an opportunity to teach your littles about where their food comes from.

The following list of farmers markets in Collin County is arranged alphabetically by city. Dates and hours usually apply from spring to fall. Most markets pause or scale back during winter, so be sure to check the details during colder months.

Carrollton Artisans Market

Operated by Four Seasons Markets, Carrollton Artisans Market in Carrollton has prepared foods, sweet treats, farm-fresh produce and meats, and more every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Celina Friday Night Market

Come out the first Friday of the month from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. for Celina’s Friday Night Market. Shop, eat, and listen to live music in Celina’s Historic Downtown Square. You’ll find a variety of local farmers, artisans, crafters, ranchers, vineyard vendors, and more. Vendors are carefully selected to ensure items are handmade, homemade, and/or homegrown.

Frisco Fresh Market

Located across the street from Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Frisco Fresh Market is a year-round outdoor market that always has extra stuff going on — rain or shine. Enjoy freshly harvested vegetables, prepared foods, chef demos, family-friendly activities, and live music. Market hours are Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Frisco Rotary Farmers Market

Now located in HALL Park, Frisco Rotary Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Find products from North Texas farmers, ranchers, bakers, chefs, and craftspeople. Enjoy a morning of shopping along with entertainment, children’s activities, face painting, and other special events. Check its site for current market vendors and a very informative produce availability calendar.

Georgia’s Farmers Market

Georgia’s Farmers Market is a brick and mortar in downtown Plano, but when it opens the wall of garage doors, it’s the perfect indoor/outdoor market situation. You’ll find homegrown produce, locally-made jams, baked goods, salsas, candles, meats, and more. It is open from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays and 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Little Elm Farmers Market

Little Elm Farmers Market pops up at The Lakefront at Little Elm on select Saturdays of the month from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. through July. Hosted by Four Seasons Markets (like Carrollton Artisans Market), this market features the usual fresh fruits and veggies as well as vendors and the occasional food truck. An extra “plus” for families is the nearby playground and green lawn for kids to stretch their legs.

Lucas Farmers Market

In addition to organic produce and specialty vendors, experience fun events like building a birdhouse and foraging for mushrooms each month at Lucas Farmers Market in Lucas Community Park. You’ll find plants and flowers, baked goods, organic meats and produce, and charitable events. See site for a list of dates, including the its annual holiday market in December. Market hours are 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month (through October 26).

Market on the Boardwalk

Stroll the Market on the Boardwalk at Granite Park in Plano and shop in-season produce, homemade goods, specialty foods, and gift items. This one is about 15 – 20 vendors in one long row with a waterside view. Kids also enjoy lawn games and monthly crafts hosted by Playful Kids Club. Open select Sundays from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. from March through December.

McKinney Farmers Market

Beloved by residents and consistently rated a top farmers market in Collin County, McKinney Farmers Market in Chestnut Square offers handmade, harvested, and homegrown products each Saturday. Shop local meats and produce, specialty prepared items, and arts and crafts vendors year round. From April to December, market is open from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and January to March from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Willow Bend Farmers Market

Don’t let the parking lot fool you — this small but diverse market in the parking lot of The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano has lots of goodies, although it may not be as fun for the littles. Willow Bend Farmers Market has fresh produce, homemade baked goods and specialty foods, artisan jewelry, handmade items, and more every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Rockwall Farmers Market

Visit the expansive and esteemed Rockwall Farmers Market in downtown Rockwall every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (May through September). Shop fresh produce, grass-fed meats, artisan breads, farm eggs, seafood, honey, jams, pasta, and tamales (to name just a few). It also has live music from local artists, all in the downtown square.
