Looking for a good preschool or private school? If so, let’s talk open houses.
An open house is a great way to help determine which school will be a good fit for your child and your family. While internet research from the comfort of your couch is ultra convenient, there’s no substitute for heading out, touring the campus, and getting face time with the teachers and administrators who run the school.
Couple things to note before we get to the list:
Although you shouldn’t rely solely on internet research or a school’s website to make your decision, it is still very much worth doing some preliminary clicking around. You’ll want to be informed prior to the open house. Make a note of any questions you may have!
Also, keep in mind that lots of parents and families attend these events. You probably won’t have time to really get into it with teachers or administrators at the open house, but you can always schedule a follow-up meeting or private tour if you feel there’s more to discuss.
