XO Coffee | Downtown Plano

Nestled sweetly in the heart of downtown Plano, this pink, trendy coffee shop is the perfect place to stop in on your date morning/afternoon/night in the historic downtown. Grab a cup to go or stay awhile. They also have a wide selection of pastries and tapas to try, too!

My fav: The Americano

Shoemaker & Hardt Coffee | Downtown Wylie

Downtown Wylie is one of the sleepiest little downtowns in Collin County that, in my opinion, does not get the credit it deserves. Shoemaker & Hardt is hands-down one of my favorite coffee shops ever. The staff is friendly, and the drinks are very unique. Their assortment of mocha flavors is not something you’ll find at a regular coffee shop. Bonus, this coffee shop doubles as a country store that sells all sorts of fun home goods, gifts for kids, and more. You can shop while you wait for your coffee, which is arguably one of the greatest things in life.

My fav: Peppermint Mocha (or really any flavor of mocha)

Mudleaf | Central Plano

Mudleaf is a fun, off-the-beaten-path spot in central Plano. This coffee shops gives off a cozy boho vibe that would make for an amazing day date spot. They also offer a selection of beer and wines so your coffee date can turn into happy hour!

My fav: Nitro Cold Brew

Fourteen Eighteen Coffee | Downtown Plano

This coffee shop in Downtown Plano holds a special place in my heart: My husband and I planned our wedding menu on the couches there. The tin ceilings and mismatched chairs make for a vintage, cozy feel that you can’t help but be drawn to. It’s a very popular spot, so you may have to grab a cup to go, but it’s still worth the visit and a stroll around Downtown Plano is always a good choice.

My fav: Americano

Summer Moon | Downtown Frisco

I was originally influenced to try this place by an Instagram influencer who lives in South Texas and frequents one down there. My husband and I made the journey to this location at the height of the pandemic last April and it was soo worth it! You can buy their “Moon Milk” by the bottle, and I highly recommend you do so. They also have a wide variety of gluten-free pastries.

My fav: Summer Moon and a bottle of “Moon Milk” to-go.

This list is obviously not an exhaustive one—there are so many other amazing coffee shops in Collin County. These are simply a few of my husband and my favorites. Do you and your partner have a favorite go-to coffee date place? I’d love to add it to my list of places to try!
