How is summer scheduling going? Are your ducks in a row, or are you feeling a wee bit panicky about what to do (a.k.a are you me)? For those still needing camp ideas, we’ve made a handy guide to Vacation Bible Schools (VBS) all over Collin County this June and July. For the uninitiated, VBS is majorly budget-friendly compared to most day camps. And of course, it provides a nice dose of religious education if you’re looking for some church-y enrichment for the kiddos.
A couple of quick things before we begin…
- For some of these programs, preschool-aged children must have an adult volunteer on site during VBS. We know that might make a difference for you, so that’s noted where applicable. Volunteering is the heart of all VBS programs, so if you can lend a hand, then by all means, do!
- Kids with special needs are welcome throughout this list, so just check for the spot on the registration forms where you can let them know your particulars.
- If there is a registration deadline looming (and there are a couple coming up quick), it is noted on the link!

Friendship Baptist Church at 270 Country Club Road in Fairview has a great VBS too. http://www.fbcfairview.net June 19th-22nd 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Galactic Starveyors – Searching the Visible, Discovering the Invisible. There is a Family Night Worship Rally and Carnival the Thursday night of VBS starting at 7:30. It will include the final Worship Rally followed by outside play including Kona Ice and inflatables.
