We all want our kids to experience all the things sports cultivate—being on a team, how to safely keep score, and even how to share the ball. But in the midst of a pandemic when most activities have been postponed or altogether canceled, we couldn’t wait to get back on the courts and fields. I’m happy to say that sports are back and youth sports leagues like i9 Sports are taking safety precautions seriously as they navigate team sports this year.
i9 Sports has a variety of safe leagues, instructional programs, clinics and non-contact programs for all ages. If you’re looking for a safe place for your child to learn the basics about sports in a fun and inviting way, i9 Sports is the way to go. Not ultra-competitive, kids can choose between multiple sports in a convenient one-day a week schedule. That’s right, practice and games are on the SAME day of the week. With games and practices on the same day, we weren’t running back and forth to different fields all week. We simply had one day that was our baseball day and that is a beautiful thing!
The ease of having both practice and game in one day was a no brainer for our family.
We’ve now played multiple seasons with i9 Sports. At first, we were looking to find a sport that they really enjoyed. We just wanted them to be happy, make friends, and learn some skills along the way. As a mother of two small children, my favorite part of the i9 Sports structure is the time commitment. Practices are held right before a short game, which means less of a time commitment overall.
My husband has coached with i9 Sports twice, and both times has had a wonderful experience with the organization and the parents. Everyone comes together with one goal—to have fun in sports. If you’re looking for a safe league grounded in fun and kindness, with a goal to build your child’s self-esteem, then i9 Sports is for you! Friendly i9 Sports staff always greeted us upon arrival and games were always conveniently located within 15 minutes or less of our home.
What if we aren’t ready for team sports during Covid-19?
i9 Sports has gotten creative and knows that all families are not ready for a league or team just yet. Starting now, you can enroll your child in small-group clinics during the afternoons. With small groups of 10 kids or less, i9 Sports provides a coach and equipment for the clinics. Small-group clinics include baseball, soccer, flag football, baseball, volleyball, athlete development and multi-sport if your child can’t yet decide on which one.
