Getting dressed and out of the house as a mom can sometimes feel like our biggest accomplishment of the day. Blanket Scarves are cozy, stylish, and versatile. Search for blanket scarves on Pinterest to see the endless ways you can style them! They are inexpensive and sold everywhere – look for them at places like Francesca’s, Target, local boutiques, and even amazon.

Booties 

Even the most ho-hum of outfits looks pulled together with the right pair of shoes. Booties look great with jeans, dresses and skirts, and are very comfortable, which is of utmost importance to a busy mom on the run! 

Peep-toe booties are a great transitional shoe as we wait for the really cold weather to get here. Look for a pair with a block heel for comfort and to stay on trend. This pair from TOMS hits all those marks, plus you can feel good  knowing that with every pair of shoes you purchase, they will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need.

Closed toe booties can be worn now and continue to take you through the colder winter months. Go for one in a neutral color like taupe or olive and look for a pair with some sort of detail whether it be in the piping or in the form of a cutout on the side. Vests

Vests can really pull an outfit together, and are much less constricting that a jacket. Plus they’re perfect for layering on the cold Texas mornings that lead into warm and sunny afternoons.

Fur vests look great over a long-sleeved blouse and jeans or leggings, and can also step a long-sleeved dress up a notch. If your feeling a little spendy, Splendid makes the perfect faux fur vest, but there are plenty of less expensive and just as cute options out there as well at places like Target, Forever 21, and all department stores.

Bags

Moms need a big bag for our everyday activities to not only hold all of the things that are essential to us, but also all of the belongings that you and (more likely) your children consider absolutely essential to their survival  (cheap carnival prizes, crayons, Chick-Fil-A books – where does it all come from?!)  We also need, and deserve, a small clutch for our date nights and GNO’s so we can feel chic and minimal if even for just a few hours!

Go for a neutral color like gray or tan for your big bag so you can use it daily and know it goes with everything. Tote bags are easy to carry around and come in all sizes and prices. This tote from Nordstrom comes at a fantastic price point ($48!) and is reversible!

For your clutch, go for a leopard print. Leopard is considered a neutral and goes with more than you might think! Hats

The right hat can make you look sophisticated, stylish, feminine and bold all at the same time. You may think that hats are not for you, but they can work on anyone, you just have to find the right fit. Plus, they serve as the perfect answer to bad hair days!

Wide Brimmed Hats can be a great final touch to complement your style and actually help to keep your head warm on those cold days!
