Summer brings many things. Heat, breaks from school, vacations, and lots of time outside. If you’re always on the go and need a quick and easy natural makeup look, I have you covered. These are my current must-have summer beauty products.
My Summer Beauty Must-Haves
1. Tinted moisturizer
I use the Color Corrector Tinted Moisturizer by Senegence. It’s light enough coverage that it is perfect for a summer day and matches up or down three shades, which is great for those ever-changing skin tones. You do have to get it from a Senegence distributor, so if that’s not your thing, you could also try Aveeno CC Cream Tinted Moisturizer. Bonus points because it also has SPF 30!
2. Sunscreen
I bought a spray sunscreen and facial stick at Trader Joe’s the other day that I’m super excited to try out. I also love Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen for daily wear. It’s so light and is perfect for wearing under your makeup.
3. Waterproof mascara
Voluminous Butterfly Lengthening Mascara by L’Oreal Paris is my current favorite. The wand has an amazing curve to it and the mascara doesn’t clump up. It goes on so smoothly and I’m able to do two coats without looking ridiculous. The waterproof version stays on, but definitely not impossible to get off.
4. Nude lipstick/lip gloss
I use Lip Sense by Senegence pretty much every day because it doesn’t budge. My favorite colors are First Love and Nude. They are the perfect everyday colors! I also really love any lipsticks by NYX. They are available pretty much anywhere you can buy makeup and they also have a store at Stonebriar Mall in Frisco. Check out even more budget beauty buys here.
5. Moisturizer and lotion
All that time outside probably means you’re washing your face more than usual, so it’s important to have a good moisturizer! I recently found Vanicream and I’m obsessed! They make all kinds of great stuff, but their Lite Lotion for Sensitive Skin is AWESOME as a facial moisturizer. They also have a thicker lotion called Moisturizing Skin Cream that is great when you have especially dry skin.
6. Eyebrow pencil
If you haven’t taken the plunge into microblading, like me, then you’ll need a good eyebrow pencil that you can apply quickly and won’t budge. I really like MAC’s eyebrow pencils for this. I have tried every drugstore brand out there with no luck. I finally walked into a MAC store and was shown the light. (Pro tip: When sharpening your pencils, turn the sharpener, not the pencil.)
These are my favorite summer beauty products to have around when it heats up outside. What are yours?
