CLUB SCIKIDZ SUMMER CAMPS IN COLLIN COUNTY

Two years ago, I got to introduce you all to Club SciKidz, a one-of-a-kind educational summer camp for kids. This year, I’m thrilled to get to share the news of their expansion!

Last year, Club SciKidz ventured north, opening their first Collin County locations in Plano. And beginning this summer, by popular demand, Club SciKidz summer day camps will now include Prosper—and this Prosper mom couldn’t be more thrilled.

Why Science Matters More Than Ever

There’s something I’ve noticed over the last few years that bothers me as a former educator: Most of the kids I see don’t really ask that many questions anymore. And it concerns me.

Science is all about questioning and discovering answers. But what I’m seeing more is kids who spend the vast majority of their time either in front of a screen or being shuffled from activity to activity. And while screen time and extracurriculars are not inherently bad, there’s no space to tinker, explore, or get curious.

And ultimately, we need kids to be curious about the world around them. Discoveries can’t be made when no one is asking questions. So opportunities to question and wonder at places like Club SciKidz are so needed!

SciKidz Puts Science Into the Real World

For those unfamiliar with Club SciKidz, it is founded on the belief that academic enrichment should be exciting, challenging, and life-impacting. It is this belief that drives their real-world camp offerings, with topics such as emergency medicine, video game creation, forensics, veterinary medicine, food science, oceanography, special effects, paleontology, and more. And they even offer an American Girl STEAM experience!

This is not the “science class” of the 90s. We aren’t talking periodic tables or long calculations here. This is science that your child will actually WANT to learn!

    Who Club SciKidz Serves

Club SciKidz is designed to enrich and challenge children ages 4–13. They offer full-day programs (half-day is available for the youngest campers only) and can even accommodate extended hours for working parents. Drop-off is at 9am and pick-up is at 4pm, daily.

Camp lessons are extensively researched by certified science educators, and your child is guaranteed to be engaged, excited, and actually learning during those hot summer days. Such a win!

Camps tend to sell out quickly, so don’t wait, mamas! Multi-session and sibling discounts are offered and automatically applied at checkout, so no promo codes are needed. Visit their website or check out their social media for more information and to register!
