You definitely do not need to be a fitness junkie to start enjoying the Peloton app and all that the program has to offer. In fact, did you know that you don’t even need to own any of the Peleton equipment when using the app? And no, this is not an ad—I’m so into it I simply had to share!

PRICE
This isn’t necessarily advertised heavily, but you can take advantage of the entire Peloton class library without buying a bike. Let me say it again…you do not need a Peloton bike to be a Peloton member!
You can get the Peloton App membership for just $12.99 a month (or 50 cents a day), and it’s accessible on any browser or any app-friendly device, including iPhones, iPads, Androids, Apple TV, Fire TV, and Roku.
The full class library is included in your app membership, and there are no class maximums you have to abide by. In other words, you have unlimited use of the classes. Heck, take seven a day, if that floats your boat; the price is the same. And with the 30-day free trial, you can browse around the app and find the classes you enjoy long before you have to start paying.
VARIETY OF WORKOUTS
Cycling is just one of numerous class options available with a Peloton App membership, but you can find tons of Peloton workouts without the bike: everything from yoga, meditation, barre, Pilates, and strength, to boot camp, boxing, running, and more.
I am certainly not the poster girl for Peloton cycling, but I do own the bike. And while I like the cycling classes (go #boocrew!), I gravitate toward strength and stretching classes way more often. You can select a class based on class length, level of difficulty, music, and so many more options. There is truly a class for everyone on the Peloton app.

One of the things I really like about the Peloton app is that I can take a class literally whenever I want. There is the option to join a class “live” with an instructor in real time, but I opt for a recorded class 99.9% of the time. The only difference is that the leaderboard isn’t current, but I couldn’t care less about the leaderboard. I’m never on it.
EASE OF USE
To me, the best thing is that you genuinely do not need to buy a thing to start exercising with the Peloton app membership. There are bodyweight strength classes, so you can forego purchasing a rack of weights if you don’t want to just yet. Use a beach towel as a yoga mat and use the back of your couch as a barre. Do you have a copy of the seventh Harry Potter book on a shelf somewhere? Because that thing works great as an overhead weight!
The app is also super easy to use. Whether it’s on your iPhone or your smart TV, choosing and starting a class is very straightforward. You can check your class stats, save classes you want to take later, and browse the libraries, all on the interface.
BOTTOM LINE
And lastly, Peloton classes are a fantastic workout! Whether you want to run a 5K, tone up your arms, find a hobby, or just start moving, I can’t recommend the Peloton app membership enough. You can find a Peloton community on the app or social media if that’s what you’re after, but it is certainly not required. I am totally fine just hopping on my bike for a quick class and winding down with some stretching a few days a week. That’s the beauty of the Peloton app membership: you can make it yours!
