A lot of brands make their way to our inbox, across our desks, and into our hands here at Collin County Moms. We are always on the hunt for products, experiences, and services that make mom life easier or champion the role of motherhood. 1418 Coffee logo

1418 Coffee

Sit back and settle in at 1418 Coffee in Plano and Prosper. This homey cafe is our favorite for good coffee and good vibes. Whether we need to crunch hours for our side hustle or catch up with an old friend, we love re-visiting the staff and ambiance at 1418.

The Dance Collective logo

The Dance Collective

Dancers of all ages and stages find creative expression, community, and friendship at the Dance Collective in McKinney. Its offerings include ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. Competitive dancers benefit from stretching and conditioning, leaps and turns, and acro classes. McKinney moms also love its parents night out for $30.

Hilton Dallas Southlake Town Square logo

Hilton Southlake

Hilton Southlake has treated the moms of Beal Media like queens over the years. It’s our first choice for both team retreats and family staycations. It has an outdoor pool with chairs and umbrellas, a clean gym with Peloton bikes, treadmills, weights, and complimentary towels. There are several shops within walking distance. The nearby pond and walking trail are the cherry on top to a stay in Southlake.

House of Shine logo: Where leaders come to grow

House of Shine

House of Shine exists to help everyone find his or her spark – the thing that makes you shine. Its methodology hinges on the acronym S.H.I.N.E., which represents strengths, hobbies, interests/irritants, needs, and experiences. The staff walks you through each topic to help you tune into your life’s purpose. Its life-defining courses are for all ages. Visit its one and only storefront in Grapevine to get inspired.

Klee Naturals logo naturally good

Klee Naturals

Based in Denton, Klee Naturals is a non-toxic makeup company for kids. Klee only uses safe, natural ingredients such as organic coconut oil, organic argan oil, organic honey, and pure essential oils. No synthetic fragrances, phthalates, parabens, or artificial colors here. Also, no unicorns were harmed in the making of these products. What we love even more is that for every makeup kit sold, Klee gives a sparkly gift to a patient at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.

Neighbor books logo

Neighbor Books

Nestled inside a historic building in McKinney is Neighbor Books. This beloved shop has everything you’re looking for in a book store – children’s story times (every Thursday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m.), book clubs, book signings, and even puzzle competitions. Become a member so you don’t miss a single event. Members get perks such as 20% off all purchases, free delivery, and, most important, free in-store coffee. Neighbor Books also hosts birthday parties with a story time and free book for the guest of honor.

Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park logo

Texas Discovery Gardens

Go for the butterflies, stay for the tranquility. As an underrated oasis in the epicenter of South Dallas, Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park is THE place to pass the time with your kids. From the friendly axolotls in the lobby to the sleepy serpents in the snake house, kids roam, discover, and play in nature. We recommend picnicking by the fountain, romping the tree house jungle gym, roaming the paths of wildflowers, crashing a wedding (not really, but you could), and waving hello and goodbye to the butterflies at the daily release inside the exotic greenhouse.

Tumbleweed Texstyles logo

Tumbleweed TexStyles

Texans are at the heart of Tumbleweed TexStyles in Frisco. This family-owned business designs t-shirts, accessories, and decor for Texans by Texans, and always made in Texas. When disaster strikes, Tumbleweed TexStyles is there lending a helping hand to fellow Texans. It donates thousands of dollars to relief efforts for Texans and gives back to educators and students through the Frisco Education Foundation.

Jessica Murrugarra
Jessica wasn’t sure about Texas when she moved here in 2014, but the Ranch Water was delightful and the locals even more! She kickstarted her editing career at a local magazine and, has since, worked as a social media manager and blogger. She is the proud mother of two daughters and loves to play the piano, craft lattes, lift weights, and journal. Her happy place is perched on the edge of Lee Harvey’s Dive-In soaking it up with her awesome Dallas Moms.
