Love is in the air, and it’s the perfect time to make some fun crafts to give to friends, family, and loved ones. These four Valentine’s Day crafts are easy and adaptable for all ages. Give a few a try as a lead-up to Valentine’s Day!

1. Valentine’s Foxes

Materials:

First, cut your foam pieces (if you didn’t get pre-cut foam hearts). Cut large hearts for the fox heads.

Next, cut your felt pieces. Cut hearts smaller than the foam ones. Then, cut these in half down the middle for the faces.

Continuing with the felt, cut black circles for eyes, triangles for ears, and hourglass shapes for hair bows and bow ties.

Glue each felt heart half to the sides of a large foam heart, creating the fox face.

Glue black eyes to the heart halves, creating the fox eyes.

Glue a black pom-pom to the bottom of the large foam heart, creating the fox nose.

Glue the triangle ears to the top of the foam heart.

Lastly, glue on a hair bow or bow tie. Now you have a foxy valentine!

2. Friendship Necklace

Materials:

Cut out foam hearts to your desired size. These will be the pendants of the necklace.

Next, cut lengths of yarn. You can make long and short pieces, depending on how long you want your necklace.

Punch a hole in the center near the top of each heart. Then thread the yarn through the hole. String beads on the yarn. Make a pattern, and as many or few as you want.

Tie the yarn ends together to form a necklace. Voila!

3. Heart Suncatcher

Materials:

First, cut out heart-shaped frames from construction paper.

Then, cut a piece of contact paper slightly larger than the heart frame, and adhere the heart to the contact paper. Trim the edges of the contact paper to be flush with the frame.

Adhere embellishments to the clear contact paper inside the heart.

Now, it’s time to seal it up. Cut another piece of contact paper slightly larger than the heart, and adhere it to the sticky side with the embellishments. Trim edges again.

Hang in a sunny window and enjoy!

4. Tie-Dye Heart Card

Materials:

Color coffee filters in sections with the washable markers, filling the entire filter with color.

Spray the coffee filters to make the colors run together in a tie-dye fashion. Don’t over saturate them with water, though.

Allow filters to air dry, or use a blow dryer — it takes less than two minutes.

Fold filters in half, then in half again (repeat two more times for smaller hearts). Cut out half a heart along the paper fold.

Glue the tie-dye hearts to card stock or construction paper. Now you have a homemade card to give your valentine.

May your Valentine’s Day be filled with love, memorable moments, a pretty mess, and fun, easy crafts. (Don’t forget the chocolate!)
