It’s that time of year! Twinkle lights are adorning every street corner and your kiddies are sure to be begging for a ride around town to see Christmas lights any day now. Here’s your guide to the best Christmas lights in and around Collin County.
Deerfield Neighborhood – Located in Plano these neighbors have taken decking the halls to a whole new level. You can check their website for a detailed map and their lights will be on from 7pm – 11pm through New Years. If you’re going as a group you can make reservations for a carriage ride through the lights. There’s also a phone number to text in your votes for best house, most traditional, children’s favorite and funniest.
Frisco’s Christmas in the Square – This spectacular display featuring more than 175,000 lights in downtown Frisco is set to Christmas music (tune in to 107.3) and runs from November 25th until January 1st. Their special event night will be held December 17th starting at 5pm and includes an outdoor ice rink, visit from Santa, interactive snow play and more!
McKinney Parade of Lights – The annual downtown McKinney parade of lights will be held December 10th at 6:30pm. Here’s a map to snag your spot along the parade route!
Shops at Legacy – Snap a photo with Santa in the Shops at Legacy, and then take a stroll through the Christmas lights!
Watter’s Creek – Head to Allen and enjoy a complimentary horse-drawn carriage ride through the scenic Christmas lights at Watter’s Creek. Find the dates and times here.
Vitruvian Lights – Take the short drive to Addison and enjoy free admission to a magical winter wonderland of tree wrapped lights.
Farmer’s Branch Tour of Lights – This drive through display runs through December 30th from 6:30pm – 9:30pm, it’s free with a suggested donation of $5 per vehicle. The tour includes several different scenes set to holiday music and wraps up with Santa at Farmers Branch Historical Park.
Santa Land – As an east Texas native, I grew up with the iconic Santa Land experience every holiday season. It’s hard to beat! But be warned, it’s not located in Collin County so you may want to make a day of it or plan a weekend trip (recommendations here) and at times it can take quite a while to make it through the lines. Open 7 days a week until January 4th, even holidays and the cost is $25 per car.
