Really, what’s not in my Amazon cart? I always feel pretty good about myself when I stay away from Target for a few days; win! But then I realize, I am just fooling myself because I make up the deficit on Amazon.
So currently, I am ready to pull the trigger on a lot of Amazon goodness; some necessary, most not! Shall we dive in? I will justify everything in my cart:
This falls under the necessary. We have been using this spray forever and its perfect for my kids’ hair. It smells nice, dries quickly, and gets all the tangles out. My current mission with this bottle is to have one in my daughter’s room and to get a pony on her head that she will keep in. Somehow she’s more cooperative if laying down on the changing table….
2. The Beginners Bible: Timeless Childrens Stories
My oldest son, Harrison, and I love to belt out the song Confidence by Sanctus Real, and he is always asking me about David, Moses, and Daniel. We have a few Bible-related books, but not the stories like this one seems to have.
The go hand in hand with #4. My mom has these and my son actually sat and drew pictures (apple, banana, and the moon all looked exactly the same to me, but he literally never draws, so I consider it a huge win) and wrote letters when we went out to eat. So of course I promptly added them to my cart. I am a great mom encouraging my kid to draw and write, so these are basically free, right?
See the “apple” on top and he is working on the banana. He could have drawn anything and I would be happy that he was creatively drawing. I cannot tell you how HUGE this is for my boy!
5. “We Over Me” Bible Study Book
I am going to do a Summer Bible study via Facebook. I have never done a Bible study this way, but I am excited to see how it goes. This is the book for the study.
This little guy goes hand in hand with #7. Our boys have sticker charts that they are earning stickers on to eventually get these cars. Douglas chose Iron Man and Harrison chose Black Panther. We are all about working for rewards in this family. Don’t worry, we still bribe our kids plenty.
My boys can earn stickers for a variety of things. The majority of stickers are earned for good behavior at meal times. I don’t know why my children turn into energizer bunnies with bad table manners when we sit down to have dinner. But we are desperately trying to nip that in the bud. Although reminding them about earning a sticker is annoying, it beats saying things like, “Take your foot off of the table,” “Do our forks go into our straws?” “Your sister is watching you,” “Dip your food in your ketchup, please, not your finger!” “See, I told you you would get hurt if you stand up on the bench” (we preach karma and learning from our mistakes in this house). They do also earn stickers for being good listeners and being kind/helpful to each other.
Now tell us, what is in your Amazon cart? We don’t judge; it’s a safe zone for Amazon addiction here!
