What’s a Recreation Center?
Feel free to keep scrolling while I “mom-splain!”
Rec centers (sometimes known as community, fitness, or athletic clubs or halls) are public spaces where local residents and visitors can swim, play sports, take classes, and participate in group activities. They tend to be more affordable than private gyms, fitness studios, or camps. Recreation centers are especially great for families, as they host a variety of age-appropriate activities year-round.
Where Can I Find My Local Collin County Rec Center?
Typically, your city website (such as Plano.gov) will have a parks and recreation tab. There you can find your nearest recreation center. Rather than do your own research, however, why not leave it to Collin County Moms? Here’s our list of mom- and kid-approved rec centers around Collin County.
