A few years ago, I started a tradition with my daughter and mother-in-law of having afternoon tea in celebration of Valentine’s Day. It was our Galentine’s Day of sorts. My daughter was just two years old when we began the tradition, and we now look forward to our Galentine’s day tea every year.
Both my mother-in-law and I enjoy tea and have bonded over our love of the drink. So naturally, my daughter has come to enjoy it, too. This would be a fun way to celebrate with your best girlfriends, too!
There are lots of places to enjoy afternoon tea in and around Collin County. Here’s my list of favorites:
Where to Find Afternoon Tea in Collin County
Lavendou {Far North Dallas}
I’ve written a full review of teatime at Lavendou. The service here is excellent and they do a traditional French Afternoon Tea. You feel like you’ve been transported to the French countryside with the decor and menu.
Edith’s French Bistro {Plano}
Another French-inspired tea. Edith’s is so cute. There is a bakery in the restaurant filled with the most beautiful and delicious pastries. Note: Edith’s French Bistro also has locations in Allen and Richardson.
Heirloom Haul {Frisco}
This spot is so cute and has so many areas for great photos. The adult tea service includes a glass of champagne. The little girls’ tea service comes with pearls and gloves. My daughter loved the dress-up aspect!
Bonnie Ruth’s {Plano}
Bonnie Ruth’s tea also includes champagne. Macarons and all kinds of yummy pastries complement an assortment of tea sandwiches (see the link for the Afternoon Tea Menu).
Chocolate Angel {Richardson & Plano}
An antique tearoom setup with mismatched china is the vibe at Chocolate Angel. Note: The Plano location is inside the High Street Antique Mall.
