New Pre-K Center Is a “Home Away From Home” at Trinity Christian Academy

Dropping your child off at school for the first time can be an emotional experience. Will they be safe? Will they enjoy school? Will they be afraid? As parents, we can’t be with our child every minute in each new stage of their lives, but what if we could provide the next best thing for them? Trinity Christian Academy has recently opened its new Pre-K Center with just that in mind.

The new area that serves as the Pre-K Center is a dedicated space for preschool students to not only learn, but also explore, play, and blossom into the sweet little humans they will become. The Pre-K Center offers a safe and fun environment that will help your children thrive.

The Trinity Christian Academy Pre-K Center is designed to feel like to be a warm and inviting space. Large windows give children a beautiful view outside and artwork adorns the walls just like it would at home. There is even a kitchen available for activities like making applesauce (although it is currently not in use due to COVID sanitation protocols). To top it all off, what could make a child feel more at home than a private bathroom attached to each classroom? A full set of restrooms is also included in the building, but having a private bathroom in the classroom for emergencies minimizes interruptions in the school day for the teacher and other children.

The Trinity Christian Academy Pre-K program offers everything that is necessary to develop “the whole child,” from academics to emotional and social development. Play-based learning is a huge part of children’s development, and the Pre-K Center was created to integrate this play into the classroom. The classrooms are spacious, allowing for room for movement along with centers and learning. Children also have access to specials such as P.E., Music, STEM, Library, and Art.

Having an entire building set aside for preschool students allows these little ones to be little! They have the freedom to sing, jump, and play without worries about disturbing other grade levels. Also in line with the needs of preschool children, class sizes are kept small. With a maximum of 11 children and two teachers in every classroom, each child gets to have invaluable one-on-one time with a teacher.

There are also health and safety benefits to the new Pre-K Center. With an already solid COVID-19 safety plan in place, parents of preschool children have the added assurance that contact with other grade levels is minimal. Additionally, the Pre-K Center is equipped with exterior and interior doors that lock automatically. No one can enter the building without staff being aware. Parents, teachers, and children all benefit from the peace of mind that accompanies TCA’s health and safety protocols.

The Pre-K Center at Trinity Christian Academy is an impressive new building, but it is so much more than that. It’s a place of nurturing and love where teachers and staff become like an extended family. It has all the ingredients needed to help our precious children grow. It can be so hard to let our children go as they get older, but it is much easier to do when you know that you can trust the hands that are on the other side.
