American Flag Fruit & Cheese Platter

A fruit and cheese platter made with red fruits, white cheese cubes, and blueberries to form an American flag.

The size of your platter will determine how much fruit and cheese to use for this. I use mozzarella and pepper jack cheese, but feel free to use any white cheese you and your party prefer!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup blueberries, washed
  • Strawberries, washed and sliced in half
  • Watermelon, cubed
  • Raspberries, washed
  • Mozzarella Cheese, cubed
  • Pepper Jack Cheese, cubed

Directions:

1. As shown in the picture above, lay your fruit and cheese down in alternating stripes to form the “red and white stripes” of the American flag.

2. For the “stars” of the American flag, fill a small bowl or square-shaped dish with blueberries. Place it in the left corner.

3. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour, then serve!

Directions:

1. Bake as many meatballs as you want to serve, following the package heating instructions.

2. While the meatballs are cooking, cut the cheddar cheese into smaller pieces to melt on top of each meatball.

3. Stack your toppings on toothpicks. I suggest a piece of bacon, a pickle chip, lettuce, and half a grape tomato.

4. When the baking time is up, top each meatball with a small piece of cheddar cheese, and place back in the oven for 2 – 3 minutes to melt the cheese.

5. Poke the already-stacked stick of toppings into a cheesy meatball.

6. Plate them up, and serve with ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard dipping sauces.

These are just a few recipe ideas to get you on your way to a fabulous fourth!

I hope you enjoy these dishes, and have a FUN and SAFE 4th of July holiday!!!
